I am about to transplant from 1 gallon to 3 gallon - plants are 4 weeks old. When should I water the plants before trying to get the full root ball out in one peice? Should I water immediately before or should I water 4, 6 or 12 hours before removing root ball? Anything else would be appreciated.

Just make sure the grow medium in the new pot is moist then give it a few days to go back on your regular feeding schedule. Try not to disturb the root ball.

Hey, i dont know the answer but Im about to transplant 6 week old plants. Im assuming that keeping the root ball and soil wet will help keep everything in tact when moving the plant. Im not 100% sure whats best as im inexperienced but I would like to see what the experienced say about this

keep both the rootball and the new container with soil "moist" not too wet...make a hole in the new soil to fit your rootball, and set it in there, cover around the stem with a little more soil and give the new pot a little jiggle and you got it!!!
