couple questions before starting.

Alrighty, I got a question to ask. My buddy is hooking me up with shiiiet load of stuff for $400. Lights, timers, fans, ducting, hyrdo setup ect.. its a 600w light, hps im pretty sure. Dont know too much els about the other stuff. But my question is. Is it possible to grow without ANY nutes and just water? like would there be a noticeable difference in yield/quality? If there would be. What about just using the basic nutes n not go all crazy with that stuff? Cheers

yes you will notice a huge difference if you dont add anything at all to your plants. but at the same time you dont need to spend a great deal on nutes to get what you want in the end. if you dont want to spen the money on any nutes than you will see the results in your end product. all you really need is one good veg solution and one or two good flowering solutions. you dont have to either go crazy and get everything or the opposite and use nothing. if you go somewhere in the middle, you will be in good shape. if you get fox farm grow big for veg and tiger bloom and/or big bud for flowering you and your plants will be very happy. you can find packs of all three for around 50$ and those bottles will last a good amount. think of it like this: would you spend an extra 50$ to get a qp of headies rather than save the 50 and get schwag?

As far as plain water...no, you won't have a successful grow...if that were the case, people wouldn't be spendin a bunch on nutes they didn't need lol
