Cross-Species Pollination

okay, this is something that I have been wondering for a while, would it be possible to pollinate a Salvia Divinorum with the pollen from a canabis male? Or Vice versa? I remmember reading that they are very closely related. Not sure if this is true, however it is a flowering plant. Just wondering if any one has tried this before. The wikipedia article on it has quite a few interesting pounts. I am also surprised at the similarity in the chemical make up of salvinorum-A (the active psychoactive compound in salvia) and delta9-THC.
Just wondering if anybody has thought about or tried this before.

well, apparently I was wrong about how closely related they are, they're in the same class but that's it, however they are both flowering herbs.

highly doubtful. you can't even cross-pollinate marijuana with hops, and they're both in the cannabis family.

i would try it. some of the greatest discoveries were thought impossiable.

Heres something, you cant pollinate female Cannabis flowers with sunflower pollen.

no. you can not. sorry to be blunt but its like saying if a human fucked a sheep you would get sheep-men, it just dont work that way. nice thought though, cannabis divinorum, lolz
