curing jars (where?)

anyone from england know where I can get a jar to cure in? I'm just after the standard clip shut glass type that I think everyone uses. Its not as easy as I thought, i've just been looking for them in big department stores in the kitchen section, is there anywhere else i should be lookin or any big chain stores that anyone knows definately has them??????

I have found a few at the local thrift stores. They are one quart/one litre

Used, washed spaghetti sauce jars (Or any kind of sauce, jarred substance for that matter)
Hardware stores
I've even seen them at Dollar General

The website states:
Please note these jars are not air tight - so are not suitable for home made preserves, pickles and curing the sticky-icky-icky.

walmart, k mart, bed bath and beyond, pat catans, hobby lobby, marcs, gfs, target
buehlers, giant eagle all have suitable jars.
