Did i top right?

Sorry, there really isn't a wrong way to top a plant unless you're going for four tops and you end up with eight. So I guess the response should have been "what are you trying to accomplish and what did you do. How many branches did you leave on and how many colas are you trying to get. Basically you are going to get a cola for every branch so if you have four branches and you're going for four colas then right on Dude. If that isn't the case then ya fucked up. Doesn't matter how many from the top. You're cutting that off. It's what you leave on so then the nodal count has to start at the bottom and progress up cuz that's what's gonna grow not the dead shit you just cut off. Right?
 
True, its my first grow so im jus testing ish out to see what happens i dont have alot of room to grow(about 2 feet) so i need the max yeild i can get.

Then top for four. Just leave the bottom most four limbs and cut everything else off. FDD has a instruction thread but it's reall that simple. if the lowest branches are weak cut them off and leave the next four branches. It's that simple and it works really really well.
 
stop cutting and start pulling and streching them to grow side ways and tie them if u have too, if heights your only problem then make em bushes......wiiide bushes
 
:/ i think your lights might be too far friend, 4" is something you see in 14days. but on my first grow i got the like almost 8" in a month rofl we all start somewhere. can we have a pic?
 
cant get a pic up, no camera, but its four inches with like 5 leaf sets, not including the ones i just topped. I have two cfls inches away from it, my lights very close, not far. If it was far my plants would be taller due to stretching, not shorter, and i just remeasured its 5 inches not 4 lol.

EDIT:its also shorter because i have it on twenty-four lighting
