DIY Wilma system....and a real one!

New system in the grow, so I though I'd take the opportunity to start a new journal.
I have been using DWC, but sometimes I ended up with 7 buckets to change! I was in dire need of a smoke after getting through 'em, and if I'd smoked before, it felt like 14 buckets!
So I reckoned on two Wilma Big 4s, one for growth and one for flowering. I had the growth one delivered yesterday, only for me to find it was 2 inches too big for my closet! No great problem, I just built my own...

The system came with dripper stakes (top right) for soil,coco. Flood stakes (top left) for clay pebbles. I'm using pebbles but prefer a halo, you only have to look at the picture to see what a doddle they are to make. I've never used the flood stakes, they must be ok, but we all like to make it rather than buy it...mostly

The only trouble for me, with the new set up, is having to grow 4 ladies at a time because they'll all be on the same nute tank which means flushing/changing/Pk etc all has to happen at the same time. Bit of a shame as I was quite enjoying a different strain every 3 weeks. Still, I'm sure I can adjust to a bumper harvest every 8 weeks!
So with 4 ladies at a time I definately forsee some serious LST going on (good! I loves it!) so (unusually forward planning of me! lol!) I put some anchoring around the pot rims..

Here's the growth room as it is now.

Tangerine Dream and Black Domina x Afghan Kush at the back, and Afghan Special. Topped the Afghan yesterday, it'll help the other two catch up somewhat.
It's going to be interesting LST time if that Tangerine leans more to her sativa side, I've read some strrrrrretchy reports here on RIU.
I meant to cover the flower tent, but after building and posting it's time for fueling up and listening to the Led Zep that just came on

Anywaze, I just have to dip a Ph meter in tomorrow and grow room job done, instead of syphoning gallons of nutrient back and forth.

I guess all our modern herb plants are merely remixes of landraces and classic strains
So a classic Moroccan would listen to Led Zeppelin, but cross it with a Jamaican plant and it would listen to this...

All my lovely ladies have now almost recovered from their transplanting...

And I think I should win a prize for stoner disorganization with the flower tent. There's the new wilma system (with 1 plant on in it) a DWC and one in soil! All different flowering times height etc. But there is a plan somewhere in there. (Well, maybe not a plan, but a goal at the least! lol!)





Bag seed is strrrretching, sativa leaning going on there, which is cool; it's been indicas up to now.

Ah! White Widow...solid. Enough said.

I'm totally sold on not changing nutes all the b^%$y time! DWC is a good place for hydro newbs, but like you say; once you're keyed in with this system it's a doddle. And gives me more attention time for tip top LST.

Not entirely confident on the flood dripper stakes (but haven't tried them admittedly) so I'm putting these in next time I need an order

One more thing is it's prone to slight vibration noise, the pump can be a bitch (not Bitch though) but I've sussed that if any of the drip lines, or the riser, are resting on anything it acts like a drum skin (or a rampant rabbit)...and vibrates like crazy. Tapped a small piece of foam (literally 2cm) around where they touched and that killed the noise. If the pumps noisy take it off the sucker feet. It seems where pieces touch they just want to bang out a beat! lol! Maybe they're listening to this...

Just got out of hospital, managed to burn my arms and shoulders with some wyrd fucking acid stuff!
But my ladies!
They have light burns,there was a three day power cut whilst I was in hospital,nutes ran dry, and they are all so fucked up. More tears...
Anyway, I just threw a load a water in the tanks when i just got in.
Gonna photo the poor things and back back on riu tomorrow im quite blissed out on some very nice drugs from the doctor so bed calls me.
Heads up ladies and gentlemen for some serious help tomorrow..please!

Cheers dude! Here's the state of play in the veg room. I ought to know what needs to be done, but my brains somewhat fuzzy from doctor feelbads drugs, so I'm under instruction really. Just water in tank, some mould on pebbles,and you can see the damage. Not much in my armory except H2O2, Canna Boost, P/K and my nutes and whatever i could get from the local garden centre.
What should I do?
Gotta go now cos if visitors were buds I could supply Amsterdam at the moment! (haven't lost my sense of humour; thanx to herb!) Gonna check in whenever I can, But I must emphasize how addled my brain is, so treat me like a noob.Thanks in advance for any help on the way! kiss-ass

def use the h202, this grow looks almost totaled. Is that mold or is it salts from nutrients, certainly looks like mold.

is the mould just on the top of the pebbles? you could just try picking them out before they spread. try canna rhizotonic and cannazime they help the break down dead roots and speed up root growth. im just a noob so i dont know much lol
