Do I Need nutrients? BUDGET

I am growing my first indoor plant with CFLs and I am on a really tight budget now that I bought all of the lights and had to pay rent!

So I was wondering if nutrients are a complete neccesity or if I could row just fine without using them? I plan on mixing a little molasses into the water once it starts flowering but that was all. If anyone knows where I can get cheap ones the most I can spend is about 20 dollars right now!

If you got a hydro shop anywhere near you, you could pick some up for under 20 (no shipping).. but in any case if you just put your babies in the dirt your not going to be needing neuts for at LEAST 3 weeks. Scrap the money together and you will not regret your investment.

go get some black cow manure and perlite (10$) and some OSMOCOTE (10$) a time released 2 month soil fert. and mix it with your soil. then just water with water till harvest.

it sure is, you can find all of that stuff at home depot or even wal-mart. - oh and the molasses would work well to feed the soil the carbohydrates it needs ~

ok as for now would I be able to just get the osmocote fert and use it in the soil I have now? It is already 1/3 miracle grow and 2/3 potting soil

cow manure is a really cheap source of micronutrients.. and it's REALLY CHEAP did i say that already? i wouldnt skip it, but you could.

ok well I took a look and there must be some growers in my area cause they were sold out of the black manuer so i just wet to my moms house to see what she had in her shed and I found this, please let me know if its any help at all in the growing process!!

That's way too high in N for MJ. Notice how it says LAWN fertilizer?

Go to HD or Lowes and snag a bag of Black Kow or MooNure for about $5. They couldn't all be sold out, they get it be the truck load.

Whatever you do, do not use that!!!
My nutes are 15 doallars a for a small bottle and that will prob last me through the entire veg state. I plan on buying dif nutes for flower but there are nutes available that can be used all the way through and if you are going for cheap maybe do that? Find a hydro store around you online ( I have to drive over an hour to mine) and see whats available. You also can use pee but that only contains N you will need some suppliments like Cal-Mag etc. Even thats not too important unless you are growing something with fruit. go cheap but efficent. For vegin' get a great organic ph balnced soil! some fish emulsion for vegin' molaseess is great add it anytime most perfeerr during flowering..but its your show stick with lite stuff and hit it good in flowering!
