The wifey gave me the go ahead to put in a 4x4 grow tent in the laundry room, which is just a large room in the basement. I attached three pictures of the area where I would like to vent to.
This room has the back half of my fireplace chimney (gray concrete blocks). On the other side of the wall is my family room, and I have a pellet stove in that room that vents through this same chimney. Upstairs, I have your basic fireplace. I do know that duct work/exhaust does run from the pellet stove to the roof.
I want to vent right into this same chimney...in the opposite corner where my furnace is vented. My concerns are whether I would mess up the venting pressure or whatever, or the inability for the pellet stove or the furnace to be affected in any way.
I've never punched through a block like that...would I have to have some type of sleeve inside, or an elbow joint or some sort?
Thanks peeps.
