Do you think dry ice is a good cheap way to give my babies CO2?

I have been trying to find ways to introduce CO2 to my female flowering plants and I am on a budget, so I have read dry ice is one way that is cheap to give plants CO2. Has anyone else heard or tried this technique and does it work?

My lil cab in my shed is sealed cause of the outdoor temps.
I use DIY yeast sugar 2liters to make sure it gets Co2 because ventalation is mimimal when its cold.

dry ice is not cheap, like $1.40 USD (my local area average) a pound and they don't last more than 30 hours on a 10 pounder.... so best "on budget" solution I think is spraying club soda onto the leaves...
