It seems wasteful to buy Master Gardener kits just to use the sponges.
I haven't received sponges from them in a long time. They told me they weren't using them anymore. In fact I liked them. The last couple times they've sent me pressed grow pods made out of coconut. They've worked well for me so I can't complain. It seems wasteful to buy Master Gardener kits just to use the sponges.

How do you do that? I like them but they're considerably bigger than the A/G sponges or planting inserts. I know if you get the smallest rock wool cubes you can wet them down and roll them small enough to put in the planting deck but not in the plastic planting cages.I use Rapid Rooters in my aerogarden.
