Does bleaching as a result of the light too close affect plants?

Lets say that you have some plants under a 1000w hps with an exhaust fan. If you notice that some of the leaves are bleached, but NOT BURNT, does this affect the plant's yield or production? Any ideas?

move the lights up a bit.

it is not healthy for the plant, that is for sure.

Yes it will harm your yield.
