Drip trays for Air-Pots?

Hi guys, would anyone have recommendations on what to use as a drip tray when planting in Air-Pots? I thought a big tray underneath would be good but then realized it would be covering up the reflective floor under the pots. Suggestions?

yeah pretty much just have to use a bigger tray. you could get white trays to help reflect the light better.

i switched to air pots and the only thing i like about them is if you get fungus gnats they cant go out any holes on the bottom. they are forced to the top. but they still like the roots that grow out the bottom. i dont notice any difference in growth. it is nice that you can transplant them and the roots will go right through the fabric depending on the brand. i kinda think they were a waste of money. when mine wear out im going back to plastic. i hate how when i water a lot of it goes out the sides.

they also make those big wash machine treys that are white and you can fit several plants on 1 depending on size. if you really want light on the bottom reflecting you could set up some flouros or leds down there.

i would get those big white trays they use for wash machines. depending on plant size, you can fit several in a single trey. i myself use bigger regular treys but i dont have a reflective floor either. you probably wont get a ton of light from the reflective floor anyway. i would set up CFLs or LEDs down there instead. if your using hps then you can add blue spectrum that way.

i switched to air pots and dont like them. the water always runs down the sides and on the floor if i dont use a bigger trey. i dont even notice a difference in growth with them. i just like how they dont have holes in the bottom so fungus gnats are easier to control if they occasionally show up probably from poorly stored soil. although they will eat the roots that come out the bottom against the trey. it's nice though how you can transplant without removing the plant from the pot. roots grow right through the fabric. might depend on the brand though.
