dwc grow question.. just wondering?

been growing for ages now, soil,ebb n flo and now dwc.
ive grown a few strains but gone back to big bang for this dwc grow.
as ive grown this b4 a few times assumed all would be the same but it is not.
the plants this time only 4 in a 120x120 tent under a 600w, they all seem short,really short, the stork is really thick though and roots are healthy ! there are loads of leaves,lovely looking actually just really short.by the way ive topped them but i always lst or top big bang anyway so its not that.
i dont think of this as a problem just wondering why and if its a good/bad thing ?

If it's stil the first few week's from when you placed clones or what ever into the pot's I wouldn't worry to much.

Usually my dwc have a few slow week's once I first put them into the tub, however once they have "setup camp" they usually start to grow crazy.

yeah i know wot you mean but their happy enough already, they have "stabled" out already though but still short as fuck,
im talking 8 inches tall with stalk as thick as your thumb !

How thick are your thumbs ^^.

That does sound quite thick for the size, how close is your light?

Really small plant's sounds to me you have your light nice and close and are having no stretch, considering how thick the stems are.
