dwc to hempy

can i transplant a dwc plant to hempy? the reason i need to do this is because i cannot keep water temps down and its starting to warm up and i will be fighting room temps soon. the water temps are in the 80's since the summer weather started and im a week into flower with a female. i dont wanna kill it and i was thinking that if i could switch to hempy where the temps wont hurt me, i could get her through to harvest i understand that it will affect yield most likely but some is better than none. any help would be appreciated

Ok so I have made the move but I'm still having to hit it with water everyday which I don't understand cause the roots go to the bottom. Is this just cause she's adjusting or something else simple? It's been I. The hempy for about 7 days.

No it shouldn't need water everyday
A few questions. What's the medium? perlite?
What size is the bucket?
How large was the root system coming out of the dwc?
Is the bucket really dry in a day (it's easy to tell by lifting especially if perlite) or does the plant just look like it wants some water?

It's all 100% perlite and it's in a 5gal bucket. The roots comin out of dwc reached the bottom of the 5gal bucket and had a nice rootball on it. No they don't get dry there is always a lil left in there they just look like they need it and when I do they look great but if I hold off it starts drop in leaves and wilts. It's pretty bare now as it did this a couple times.

Now I've never made this transition, but to me it seems you had a well developed root system, and the roots are basically curled up in the center of the perlite column. And you've got the rez roots of the dwc now in the hempy rez, and these were doing most of the heavy lifting in the feeding dept prior to transplant. So you may have to water her everyday now to keep her kicking. Or you can let her droop which will promote new root growth. But if she is growing good after the transplant, I wouldn't change things.
