IMO - it's still a little early for the lollipop - they are in the middle of the stretch. I usually wait until between Week 4 and Week 5 of bloom for that clean-up phase. That is when you can see which are in the main/secondary canopy and which are the removable sucker branches.I'm 10 weeks into this grow. Photoperiod Sour Tangie. Just flipped to 12/12 5 days ago. Using the manifold system. Question is do I trim the extra branches shooting off or leave them. Starting to get unbalanced. View attachment 5473583View attachment 5473584View attachment 5473585
Your plants are "praying" at extreme angles and my belief is that indicates that they're on the cusp of hitting their light saturation point. My personal approach is "to remove all doubt" and use a meter to determine PPFD.12 weeks. Second week after going 12/12. Debating on when to go to full power. They have grown several inches in those 2 weeks at 75% light. Getting bushy.View attachment 5474767View attachment 5474768View attachment 5474769View attachment 5474770
Yeah, got all the lights. Growers Choice roi e420 then added Mars-Hydro UV..IR..Deep Red and Blue. Overkill maybe. I believe I'll raise the lighting frame a few more inches. If that's a UV light, I'd use it sparingly/per the manufacturer's instruction; if it's blue, I'd put it back in the box (that's where mine reside).
I'm not saying that you need to reduce light levels but the high angle of the leaves caught my eye. the Per my signature block, I'm a big believer in feeding plants well.Yeah, got all the lights. Heard! I will unplug the extra blue. Also, yesterday mixing nutrients I wound up with my EC a bit high. Read that calmag water would reduce the EC. That didn't happen. EC went up. The problem might be using tap water. I need to check the initial EC of that and figure out the adjustments. Really don't want to buy water. I tried using a too high mix to bring up a low mix. That worked ok.I'm not saying that you need to reduce light levels but the high angle of the leaves caught my eye. the Per my signature block, I'm a big believer in feeding plants well.
Each of those lights has a purpose but some are appropriate at different stages of grow or different time of day. I thought I could use a set of Mars blue ADlites, saw that they were on sale and pulled the trigger. Wrong move. I have no use for them and can't return them.
Blue is useful primarily in the veg because it causes plants to create branches and lots of small leaves. Once the plant is in flower, at the latest, it's counter productive.
Do you let the tap water sit for 24 to 48 hours before mixing your feed?... The problem might be using tap water ...
It looks like you've got plenty of photons without the blue. That's great!Heard! I will unplug the extra blue.
I hear you. Buying water can get expensive. If you're using tap water, get a copy of the water quality report for you town/city to see what's in the water. Most tap water has a "fair amount" of dissolved solids and that PPM should be taken into account when mixing your nutrients. Also, yesterday mixing nutrients I wound up with my EC a bit high. Good to hear. It looks like some of the lower leaves are light green but looking good overall.I tried using a too high mix to bring up a low mix. That worked ok.
Out of the ground in the front yard. I should get it checked though. I'll sneak a bottle in with the pool water if I ever get that checked. LolIt looks like you've got plenty of photons without the blue. That's great!

"CalMag" contains at least calcium and magnesium so it will bump EC.

Well water? My impression is that it's high in dissolved solids. Fire up an EC meter and the number that it gives you is your starting number when you mix your nutes.Out of the ground in the front yard. I should get it checked though.
