Early flower stage. Lots of new branches on manifold

I'm 10 weeks into this grow. Photoperiod Sour Tangie. Just flipped to 12/12 5 days ago. Using the manifold system. Question is do I trim the extra branches shooting off or leave them. Starting to get unbalanced. 3705.jpg3704.jpg3703.jpg

IMO - it's still a little early for the lollipop - they are in the middle of the stretch. I usually wait until between Week 4 and Week 5 of bloom for that clean-up phase. That is when you can see which are in the main/secondary canopy and which are the removable sucker branches.

Anything taller than what light can penetrate isn’t ideal, I would bend/tie the branches down to open the plant out to the lights footprint.
After flipping there's generally around 2/3wks of vigorous growing where plants doubling in size isn’t unusual.

I bent them down a few days after flip.

12 weeks. Second week after going 12/12. Debating on when to go to full power. They have grown several inches in those 2 weeks at 75% light. Getting bushy.3913.jpg3911.jpg3908.jpg3910.jpg

Your plants are "praying" at extreme angles and my belief is that indicates that they're on the cusp of hitting their light saturation point. My personal approach is "to remove all doubt" and use a meter to determine PPFD.

If that's a UV light, I'd use it sparingly/per the manufacturer's instruction; if it's blue, I'd put it back in the box (that's where mine reside).

Yeah, got all the lights. Growers Choice roi e420 then added Mars-Hydro UV..IR..Deep Red and Blue. Overkill maybe. I believe I'll raise the lighting frame a few more inches. Thanks, all the help I can get.

I'm not saying that you need to reduce light levels but the high angle of the leaves caught my eye. the Per my signature block, I'm a big believer in feeding plants well.

Each of those lights has a purpose but some are appropriate at different stages of grow or different time of day. I thought I could use a set of Mars blue ADlites, saw that they were on sale and pulled the trigger. Wrong move. I have no use for them and can't return them. :-(

Blue is useful primarily in the veg because it causes plants to create branches and lots of small leaves. Once the plant is in flower, at the latest, it's counter productive.
