Hi all,
I am approx 2 1/2 weeks into flower and have just discovered a grayish slime growing on my airstone and a little on the water pump & hose.
I had thought the res was light proof (& the grow pots also) - but i could be wrong. The res is a white 35L bucket wrapped in a couple of layers of 2mm white underfloor insulation(waterproof plastic on one side and spongy foamy stuff on the other).
The temp of the res is currently 19.4' C and has ranged from this temp to a high of 24.6' C over the past couple of weeks.
I had been growing some clones in a small chamber next to the res, under 3 x CFL's. The clones have now been moved, the CFL's were the reason the res reached temp of 24ish(after about 4 0r 5 days of constant lights on).
I have access to some normal type peroxide which my house mate used on their hair - but am not sure if or how to apply it .....
The res and stuff have been disconnected and are ready for a good scrub. If needs be i can hand water tomorrow before work and be home in time for the evening feed...
Can some wise and helpfull souls offer some advise on how this 1st time grower should proceed??
