hey could i have my 6" Classic EcoPlus fan and my 400w hps on a power strip that's plug into a extension cord? Not sure if thats too much power from one regular wall plug. and not familiar with any electrical.

Yes, I have made a stealth cabinet so the cabinet will be in a room, i believe its going to be our smoking room when we move. So it will prob have a computer and little things.

I dont know the draw of the fan but a safe guess is you will be drawing 5-6 amps for both so a heavy extension cord will be OK
I also dont know what else is on the circuit breaker that powers the outlet you plan on using so I wont even guess if it will trip your breaker

i would ONLY use the heavy duty yellow (10 or 12gauge )extension. rule of thumb ANYTHING that makes heat will draw healthy amounts of electicity.make sure you are running a 20amp breaker if you use alot more that what you are already using.and also make sure your power outlet can handle it .if your power strip has a big fat cord thats the one you want if it is skinny that is no good. another way you can tell is by feeling the temp of any wire in the system you have setup . if it feels warm or hot that is bad.hope this helps

i think youll be fine man i had 2 fans a 400w hps and a water pump running of an extension and ive had no probs at all, just get urself a decent extension and check it regular, id also cut it down to the length u need as when the cables all coiled together it tends 2 conduct more heat
