Ever seen this?

Anyone ever heard or tried this before? I have one of my girls(one in the smallest pot) and she is pretty root bound. so I cut out the bottom of the pot and set it on freshly turned dirt. Hopping it will root out now n continue to grow!

Seems like it would work, aslong as the roots can still go down. I burry my Pots/buckets. Im new to growing but have tried this.

I was gonna do that but decided not
to lol cuz I did it to a few oof them. Jus turned the dirt.

It will work great. Just like Letsenjoy I transplant the same way too with my Dixie cups to final pots to ground. I like the cutting the bottom of the pot way better because Imo when I transplant that way my babies go through no shock.

When I left my plants in fabric grow bags for a month to long, they got root bound. I sliced the bag and carefully trimmed the roots, and planted in the ground. did my best but she never bounced back 100%. After harvest I dug up the root ball and discovered the roots only grew about an inch out. Over all it wasn't bad. Quality was still top shelf, she was just a smaller plant. Now as a rule I Always make sure roots are at least an inch away from the walls of their container.

that's how i do my tomato plants every year, and they don't complain.
