Search in the forums mate, believe it or not I'm very new but I've had some great advice here and a few unanswered questions, put "quite fan" in the search engine and you should see tons there.

Soler and palua TD Silent fans are the quiest fans on the market.
You can also wrap your whatever fan with cling then put it in a box and fill it with builders expanding foam or wrap it up in a sleeping bag.

The s&p td silent fans are good, but more expensive. Come apart easy for cleaning.
Smooth wall ducting helps keep noise down too

Plus it cools itself as it runs and all the heat goes out the exhaust so no worries on foam/insulation heating up

Yes there's no problem with heat whatsoever, I've wrapped and boxed enough fans over the years to be absolutely sure.

Was just putting it out there bc of all the worries that goes with wrapping a powered piece of equipment with flammable material

I have just purchased this today its an 8" but they do a 6" and it is very quiet i would recomend if you are willing to spend on it 20200915_135047.jpg

Good point...
No one should ever use anything that can self sustain fire!
I must be clear the fans I used had thermal trips!!!

I'll also add they never ever did trip ime, the last thing I'd recommend is something that could potentially burn down someone's home, I'm sure it's as safe as your TV for example meaning you can't absolutely rule out anything 100% the aforementioned is only in experience with around 10/12 rvk and TD Silent fans used for extended periods of time.

Nice has it reduced the noise much, i can honestly say i love this rhino fan and glad i got it
Rhino is Euro?? UK? Can’t seem to find here in USA. Yes my ghetto rig works, I found most of the noise comes from the ends of the fan where you connect the ducting. Right where it blows in/out on each end.

Yes uk im in, i tried wrapping one end in a towel me and seemed to make no difference to my first fan i tried
