got a grow started a few weeks ago. nothing big, just 4 plants. they are around 4 inches high and the starin is dr. chronic mp5k. small closet grow, plenty of fresh air and im usually in the room. (bedroom)
info:
under a 400w metal halide on 24/7 right now for veg
miricle gro potting soil enriched with plant food is the soil
no nutes yet. its been around 3 weeks since i started. looks like yellowing around one of the plants leaves, and on another brown spots. maybe nute burn from the soil? havn't had a chance to check ph yet. could that be it? using tap water sitting at least 24hrs in a open container. anyways here are the crappy pictures. cell is all i got. thanks in advance.

You should know that it's normal for the first pair of leaves to yellow and wither in time. This is not necessarily bad, it's just how the plant chooses to grow.

Your first pic looks more like a Calcium deficit. The second and third show a magnesium deficit for sure.

Best way to fix both: buy some molasses. 1tbs/1gallon at every watering.

I wont say anything about the MG other than....ahhh forget it.

I have had the same looking def in some of my plants and Cal-Mag takes care of it.

alright, just watered them with the molasses solution. i used 1 tbsp/4L of water. will report back if this fixes them. thanks :)

I usually transplant mine when they're 2-3weeks old or even sooner if they get big fast. Wait another 3-5 days or until the cotyledons fall off and I think you're ready to transplant.

Some fresh pictures would help. Keep us posted.

you shouldnt have use miricle grow soil. it could be burning your leaves. you usually dont give your plants nutrients until about 2-3 weeks into veg. if you started your seedlings in that soil, then that might be your problem.

they were started from seed. been in the pots for around 3 weeks. i will probably transplant soon. within a week. i was aware of the miricle grow soil problems, but its all my local garden center had in the dead of winter lol. been using nothing but water since seed. i will try to get some better updated pictures tonight.

you should look for the organic miricle grow soil. i comes in brown bag, that should work better...home depot has it, even in the winter.

cool. plants recovered. new good looking growth even after the 1st day. smell is becoming a problem now though. they are in the open in my room. might need to build a chamber or something into the closet and a small carbon filter unless anyone else has ideas lol.

What you're proposing is a good idea. I should tell you that molasses increases the terpene (weedy smelly molecules) production, so the smell will have to be delt with, if you don't want anyone askin questions about the "spacey" smell in your room.

Don't worry though, a nice closed space in your closet with a carbon filter attached will work perfectly.
