(fim)

im new at this so i was wondering how many growths is a good idea to fim.. I'm thinkin the first highest growth then the 2 that shoot out below that a total of 3..i dont want to make em too top heavy any opinions would b appreciated this is my first crop so all is appreciated..i got 2x4 ebb/flow and 3 gallon soil.2 400w metal halide.total of 7 dro and 7 soil in 8x8 room within a room..if that info helps....im thinkin tonite is my nite to do it to my hydros..help please????

you seem to have alot of room to work with. so that a good thing you can top/fim as many times as you want. some strains respond better than other. it also depends if it is indica/sativa. just because you get more branches does mean your tops will be to heavy you could always tie them up if you need...

ones you top/fim the growth will slow and start to bush out more. i usually wait till flowering to do this unless im LST/or making a mother.

cool thanx for the input ..i thought that most prunning and topping especially should be done with A Week before flowering.. i mean prune dying leaves as u go but dont get carried away cus yhere needed..i have jorge cervantes,s grow bible ..i mean u been doin this longer tho so i will take sum advice and give it a shot one time..this is all about trial and error and find out what werks best for me rite...ive already fim the first growth at 5th node on all of my babies..i am trying to keep em low they r bagssed so i have no idea how tall they would get i figred i wldnt take the risk..although i do think when i know what i got i am gonna go straight up no topping just for shits and giggles..

overtopping or fim wont like stunt or slow the plant majorly or even like kill my potency?
