Fimming or Topping

Would anyone recommend fimming or topping over the traditional growth? if so is there any specific time to fim or top? thanks for the help in advance

topping increases yield! check this thread out, I'ver topped my babies twice, each time you top you double the new growths from 1 to 2 to 4.
