Final flush with lights off...

Anyone heard of doing the final flush with the lights off? What are the benefits with having the lights off.

it supose to trick the plant into thinking it dying and produce more thc and suga on plant

It is also supposed to also i heard help flush out nutes back to the roots from the buds or something like that.
