First DWC setup

Hi all - Just built my first DWC. Got my seeds ready but havnt started anything as of yet. I am worried that I might not have read enough although I have looked through many of you all's grows and actually built this obviously from setups I've seen on this site. I am note quite sure how to start the seeds out and how to transplant them to the hydroton. Do I get small rockwool cubes and let the plants live their childhood in them and let the roots grow out and then just stick the rockwool cube down inside the hydroton or how then would I go about transplanting? The nutes I purchased are Dynagrow and Dynabloom and I will be using 6x 6500k daylight CFLs. I don't plan to fill this setup on my first try I will most likely just try 2-4 plants and see what happens. Any tips and/or advice you could send to a new grower is much welcomed. Note - you might notice I did fix a drainage valve on the bottom of the tank as I heard at some point I should be changing the water to get rid of some unwanted materials. I havn't worked out the details on this yet but it is in place and I plan to just use 1/2 rubber tubing to syphon the water up and out my window so hopefully that works out alright

I doubt you will be able to keep the lid on that hinge. There are going to be times, you will need to get inside the tank, and the plants are going to be 2 or 3 feet tall, and that lid will not allow you to open it with the hinge on it. I might be wrong, but that is my opinion.
You have to germinate the seeds, use soil, wet paper towel, peat cups, juffy cups, there are a dozen ways to do it, then transplant them to your DWC when they get roots.
