Normally I would say that you might be watering too much, but the plants look great..so whatever you are doing is working for you. I can't ever feed my plants very much of the Bio-Grow stuff, too much of it seems to hang around in my soil, so long after I stop feeding it seems there are still nutes in there...so watch out for curling or burnt tips, but they look great! Good Job.

See picture #6 where the new small leaves near the crown are crescent shaped?
That's from moving either the plant or the light. Not a big deal, just Mother Nature saying
"don't make me chase the sun".

they look very healthy and bushy :)
and a good size for plants 4 weeks from seed
ready to go into flower if they are staying under that light as they could double in size

I agree with largebuds if you are keeping them under a 250w you should switch to 12-12.

hey any thanks :), ye there growing so fast now are you saying that as a 250w will no be able to penetrate the canopy for much longer ? ive been thinking about about adding a 400 hps or a few cfls what do you think would be best ?

hi darrenj

are they in 11ltrs pots ?
if they are and you are watering every two day they would gain a lot from re potting
in 20ltrs pot and put them under a 600w hps light, (this is what i would do) and you could yeild a good 10oz's or more if you keep them this healthy in flower

but if you only want a small grow, top them and turn to (flower) this will stunt the growth and give you a full canopy
with the 250/400w hps but check your strain takes well to topping first

250w hps yields round 4oz's
400w hps yields round 6oz's

you can yeild a lot more but this is the average yield for most growers with these lights in soil imo

the other thing is, the higher the watts (250/400/600) the more heat they give out so if this is a problem stay with the 250w/400w
as heat will reduce you yeild (over 32c) canopy temp,

round 28c is best for the canopy temp

good luck

Plants are doing awesome. I never done the feminized version of Blue Mystic but I did the regular seed one. That plant is a beast I pulled some good yields and the smoke was cerebral with blueberry smell with a spicy taste and had lots of visible trichromes.

hey bud ye there in 11lrt pots and needs a good 1ltr easy each every 2 days max atm i did think they needed re-potting as i can see roots in all pots at the bottom trying to come out, as money aint tight atm i think im going to take your advice and get a 600w hps, i dont mind how tall they get there is lots of room 7tf min altho its only 3x3

as far as heat goes cant see that being a prob got unusualy very hot weather the other day and closet still stayed between 75-81 i can also ad as more vent if it was needed if i threw the 600w in should i keep the 250w in as well ?

as far as how this strain handles topping i can see it having a prob i snapped a branch and tapped it back in was fully healed in 5 days it seems to be very hardy also iv been trying to overfeed it so i know its limits but it just eat them and grows faster i honestly thought growing it would be hard but once ya do lots of research first its actually good fun + places like this to gain more advice :)

hi darrenj

i would just use the 600w, the 250w will not make a lot of difference and cause more heat and uneven canopy, just not not worth it imo

600w in a 3x3ft is good for high quality dank bud, but a little less yeild than a 4x4 tent which will give you a little more yeild but less dank bud

the amount of feed and water you are giving the plants is working very well for you
they look very healthy so what ever you are giving them carry on, :):)

the smell in flower will get very strong, if this is a problem you may need a carbon filter

i know how to increase your yeild if you want to have a go or you could just keep it simple for this grow

tried this a couple of time's and had buds over 10" long before now

il pick up a hps in the next for days or so going to let them veg a bit longer see how they go

ye they look really healthy im shocked :) they get a concoction of what ever im in the mood to feed them its norm some mix of bio grow baby bio and mg tomato food

ye ive noticed they do smell alright its not really a prob its my house so my rules ha, it norm smells of it so im not too pushed on the smell

ooh what did you have in mind for yeild ? i tryed to supercrop one but either it was too young a shoot or i did'nt hurt it enough cause it was back up in a day and only turned a very tiny bit barky coulor

will go in to more detail later

its all about canopy shape

the basic ideal is to get the light as close to the canopy as you can with a fan blowing up towards the light to remove the heat
and the main buds going round the light not directly under the light

when you look up distance from the light its not the hood but the hps light it self to if the top of the plant is 12" under the light but 12" from the middle of the hood to the light, so the plant 18" from the bulb it self
the light will cover a lot more of the plant without giving the plant light burn and go further down the insides of the plants giving you more bud (yeild)

ye ive noticed my plants can handle being only 3 inches from the light basicly touching the hood, they have been there for 24 hours with no sign of side effects, i now need to move my light up daily as they are growing 1-2 inches a day in high and getting alot more bushy too, im also going to make up some more fan hangers sets to blow on the underside of the hood, and a couple more around the closet too.

one thing i am concered about in the future is because they have 7ft atleast above them height wont be a prob but with 5 bushy plants there grow out might be is there any good method to remedy this I was thinking about maybe some lst ? what ya think ?

thanks for the adivce btw its going to help me fine tune my closet :)

hi darrenj

i will do my best to help fine tune your closet

good ideal with the fan hangers sets

(lst is a way to make the plant more bushy so making the canopy wider and keeps the plants short) may be not

lol pop the plant in week 2 of flower could help and remove some of the lower branches as this will increase airflow, light penetration and reduces the chance of mold and make it easier to spot bug early and get rid of them

(3 inches from the light) good
you should try to get the canopy as close to the light as you can without giving the plants heat stress as this will increase your yeild

did something similar to this with one plant and it did yeild a lot of bud :)
