I am short on money, but I want to grow some nice trees.

Right now my plants are 5 Days in from germination.

I am using florescent tubes (cool blue) for veg. and with hopefully, by flowering time, I will have a decent HPS light.

Heres some pics.

What are the watts on your lights? Whatever they are, they need to be much closer to your plant, as they seem a bit stretched (not terribly bad, though). You'll need to buy some more lights, also--wal mart or home depot is a good place to go for cheap, efficient CFLs. Get a small fan in there blowing to strengthen those stems. They look pretty good, though, just make sure you use plain water for now and only water about every couple of days or so. Good luck! :)

Day 6

I think I might off over-watered on of my plant, the stem started to brown, and the leaves was looking a little droopy, but I dont know if it because the leaves are to big for the stem.

Heres some pics.

If you keep the bulbs at the most 1 inch from the leaves they should grow fine for the first 3-4 weeks. But you'll need at least T5 fixture or MH to get it ready enough for flowering.
The problems with using CFL's is the fact that they make the plants lanky.

A good way to look at light for plants is like fuel for a 5.7 litre engine.
Now the manufacture recommends that you use 89 octane or better to reduce knocking to the engine. You can get away with using 87 octane but it's going to make the engine run like shit and sluggish.
The same thing for plants, if you use low wattage lights, your plants will grow lanky and won't produce as much as it would if it had HID lighting.
