Plants:

I need professional opinion since this is my first grow and I had some issues. Plant number 6 started to show some leaf burns and i haven't used any nutes yet...so i assumed that my soil had too much nutes and i flushed it...and after a day or two it started to grow..only the bottom leaves the ones that were affected started to dry out...all my plants' leaves are curling down a bit...maybe i am overwatering?..I water every 4-5 days...please advise?
The plants sprouted on 14th of August and were kept in small pots for one week...i then transplaned them in big pots on 21sy of August...during transplantation they were between 5c and 10cm tall and since the stems were a bit weak i burried them and covered with soil all the way to the first set of leaves...the stems are much better now...
THe light i'm using is HPS 400W and i keep it at 40cm from the plants, 18/6...grow area is 1m X 1m X 2m and temeprature is around 26, 27 degrees celsius...humidity around 40%...i had some problems with the temp. in the begining..it was reaching 34 degrees sometimes and i assume it caused growth to slow down a bit....after i fixed the ventilation issues and stuff, the plants started to grow faster and all in all they showed signs of recovery...
I am using tap water with pH level of around 7...i am planning to buy pH down next week to lower pH to let's say 6.5...i am guessing my plants will probably be happier...
Soil is a regular soil for flowers and it contains some nutes ...pH is 6.5-7.2,,,and has some styrofoam in it..
I still haven't started giving them nutes, I am planning to start next week since they will be 1 month old...is that ok or should i wait...are they too small? ...is the lack of nutes causing slow growth?...please advise since i am doing my best but i have a feeling they are not growing fast enough...thanks a lot
