First grow... some unanswered questions(pic)

im all alone growing all the way in india... indoor growing as a concept does not exist here... so i have no help... can any1 ans some of my q's...

1. how long do the stems need 2 b b4 i can clone... my plants r 1 month 10 days old.
2. can i cut the main stem of a plant for early clone... as in cut the plant in half
3. should i b using soda/carbonated water to spray
4. How important is a fan inside the grow space? i leave a door open most of the time so i know the area is well ventilated and the heat is also under control... do i still need a fan?
5. im using 2-45 w an 2-25 w, 6500k cfl's and 4- 23w 2700k cfl's in a area of 2ft by 2ft... i have 5 plants abt 2 months old in there... is the light enough??
6. in the flowering stage if i cant find HID lights ( im in india an havnt found any yet) how many 23 w 2700 k cfl's should i use per plant so i get a really good yield

just order lights off the internet!! the yellowing seems to be a nitrogen deficiency imho! u cant cut the plant in half watch mr nice video on youtube he details cloning!! fan is to move air around and keep stems thick and hard but u need fresh air intake and exhaust! why are u cutting the leafs tips?? carbonated water helps but check it doesnt burn or harm ur plants by using it on one and see how it likes it!! u need to add perlite to ur soil for better root aeration!! hope this helps and u smoke a nice charas chilum for me hehehe

im cutting the tips so that the inner stems get better light an grow faster... im going for SOG an was told to treat the mother like this to get faster clones...
the boom 4 sure... hoping to mix the best of both worlds...

1. As long as you want I suppose, a few inches atleast would be good.
2. Yes, you can top the plant and use it as a clone
3. You can, but not neccesary,and probably not that much help either
4. You dont neccesarily need a fan if its not that hot in there. 76 deg. is ideal, at 90 plants can stop growing. Fans are also helpful though because they bring in fresh air, and make your plants sturdier w/ thicker stems to support more weight.
5. The more light the better....thatll work, but HIDs would be 1000x better
6. I dont know, what do you consider a really good yield?

The chances that the plant will survive should be 100, the chances the clone will survive, i dont know. If you have a decen rooting hormone, your chances are pretty good. The best she can give, well Im not sure if youre gonna get that from cfls...well you can I guess. you just need a lot of cfls. Ive never grown with cfls, so I cant really give you any idea of how much you can expect to yield with the amount of light, all I can say is you arent gonna over do it on light, so if money is no object, just get as many as you can in your area, making sure not to creat a temperature problem of course.

im thinking of installing smthin like 50 cfl's 10 for every plant... ill have 230w an 15000 lm on each plant... will an hps system seriously make much of a difference?

time to do a little bit of reading buddy. You have lots to learn about this in general and have all the information in the world already asked and answered. Read up a little before starting and having to ask immediately and things will go MUCH better, trust me on it.

You can grow 10 plants with 250watts of HPS or MH lighting and not have to mess around with anything but one bulb. If your in a small space youll want good fans to get rid of the heat though. HID lighting is actually cheaper in the long run as youll just have to add more and more cfls.
A 400 watt hps can be bought and put together from a kit for less than $70 american dollars...

thats the problem... im in india... cant buy it in any shop here... tried to mail order it from england but it came broken... cant waste my cash like that...

Im SURE there is available lights there in MH and HPS. Basic street lights my friend...NOT Mercury Vapor though! WAYYYY to hot and eats power just the same as the others if not more.

I have a friend in turkey who had to find lights and found it difficult. Even an enclosed little 70watt HPS or Mh would do, you could take it apart and extend a couple wires so the bulb hangs by itself instead of with that hot ballast that runs the bulb...this is called remote ballast and is best for gardens.

You need a HID ballast Kit to make your own light(which saves lots of money) either High pressure sodium or Metal halide to grow the best buds. CFLs are hot when used in big amounts, just as hot almost. And they use lots of power too with less results.
May as well make the money you start with count right? a 250watt hps is good for about 5 plants, maybe a few more with little dirt containers.

ebay has decent deals if you find store that will ship...no 250watt in right now but this one is a good deal compared to others

is the difference b/w HID grow an cfl that different... i dont care about time to grow or the electricity bill but i want the quality of the bud to be gr8...

then order good lights mh for veg hps for flower i havent grown cfl but im sure u will have much better bud and more bud with hid lighting!!

ok... so i found a lights market.... going tomorrow... hope 4 the best... going 2 try gt two 250w HSP....

sounds great pal. Ive used fluro lights in the form of the long tube ones, and cfls.
I can honestly say that HID lighting such as MH or HPS is like seeing electricty after havign used candles for lighting your house....
There just is NO trying to compare them HID is better

if i flower outside in natural light what kind of yield can i expect??? im in india an it gets hot... the temp is abt 25Celsius an will go up to abt 45Celsius in peak summer

In Delhi you could put them outside in March. They won't start to flower until September. With that much time they will get large. If you can locate them somewhere where they get a little afternoon shade, they won't be fried by the summer heat so much. Also, if you transplant them into the ground you won't have to water them so much and the roots will stay cooler. If you succeed, you will get a lot of MJ.

I've never heard of anyone trying to grow in India. It used to be dead easy and cheap to score. . . .

Edit: Actually I realize now you want weed, not charas. Only time I ever saw that in India was in Varanasi. It was pretty good shit too, but I preferred hash.
