First grow worried about grow lights I have

about to start my first grow and I have two 40 par led grow lights. Gonna be growing 1 plant in my closet with aluminum foil all over walls. I was reading last night and I seen a lot of stuff about how it’s bad to use grow lights that low, but I seen some people using the same grow lights I have and their plant looked fine, I was wondering what everybody here thinks because my budget is not huge and I wasn’t really studying at the time of buying the grow lights so I kinda messed up. Waste of money

Probably only get a gram with that light

Foil creates to much heat better to just let white dry wall reflect

Just get a small mars hydro 150 watt for $130.
Perfect starter light for those with small budgets.

Lose the foil and use what you got. Keep your expectations very low though.

Good for supplemental, but not as a main light. Lots of affordable lights out there these days. Anything above 100 watts is what you want if you're going to be a small grow.

OP you could get better results for far less money doing something like this

I paid a dollar each at an actual dollar store and removed cover with a serrated steak knife

the Home Depot is a poor source for grow lights
A Lowes would be better

You can return those if you got them at HD.
They take anything back.
Syntax747 has a good suggestion for a single plant first time closet grow.
Don’t waste your money on two 30W bulbs for $49 apiece.

Yeah Migro did a video where he constructs a grow-ceiling with these lights. If you can wire them up, it will definitely work.
