First hydro grow, DWC, CFL for Veg & 600 Watt HPS for flower

Thanks man, this is my first hydro grow. I heard its more tricky then soil, so far so good.. besides the odd MG deficiency/ rapid use of water. Today I checked and had a PH of 8.0 in my biggest mom, I nearly shit my pants! ...got it back down to 5.8 with a little vinegar. I was wondering what was up with the yellowing /dieing lower leaves.

I also tied them down, kinda spread the branches... they were all tipping over and well, I don't have anything for SCROG right now so I did some LST per say. Should look good tomorrow when all leaves are pointing up. I think ill add come CFLS to the lower branches soon as well, I cant wait to see what they produce :-P

Im considering somehow hooking up a Main res which pumps water into the 2 gal tubs, so I don't have to keep topping them up. Maybe ill just switch back to bigger tubs or maybe some 5 gal buckets. Prefer a main res tho, buckets are tall, limited space here.

I hear ya, What I did was use a couple shallow tubs, the under the bed storage containers, set up sprayers in them and they drain back to the same res.
Got a heater and a chiller to keep temps right and its much easier to control PH and keep nutrient amounts in check.

your grows are amazing, I have checked them out a few times now

I will eventually set up some sprayers, its in the plans, one thing at a time. I just got internet today, moved in the new place 3 days ago... plants are still at the apartment so no pics right now.. I lost one of the cloned mothers which I had in flower and almost lost my largest (ph went to 8.0!) right now one is doing great and the other is recovering. I still have lots of clones and half of them have rooted, I try to take one a week or so to keep the grow going.

I just started a fem blueberry in soil, it is sprouted, I cant wait to pop some clones off her in about a month. I got my 4l of nutes and mylar film a few days ago.

Congrats on the new pad, Look forward to the pics.
I never had my pH get to 8.0 I wonder whats doing that... I think heat will dissolve the acids and make the pH rise.

Well my last update was DEC 16, I moved into the new place and have moved my plants to a new grow room, just finished insulating it and getting it ready. Lots more room to work with!

I lost a couple plants, but still managed to keep one from the first batch, and she is doing amazing (pics below) shes big, healthy, and budding like crazy! I really hope to get at least a QP from her, she smells so nice and fruity citrus, not sure what strain it is though... cant wait till end of JAN for harvest.

2 others I have just started to flower (about a week in) and already they are popping female hairs, and are looking pretty dece.

I have room in there for probably 6-8 big mothers, hope to one day fill it. My others are in the veg closet I made, lined with mylar. I have roughly 10 or so plants in there, one I am taking clones from.

I lost my blueberry germinated seedling... tipped the pot over and cracked the poor thing in half

ill have to bug my friend for another.

SO heres the pics... enjoy, any comments please add. This will be a forever evolving grow room, and I hope to soon start the perpetual grow... i been trying to do it for ages but just didnt have the room!

pic 4 is my cfls, im ordering a 400 watt mh for in there me thinks

pic 8 is where I topped this girl... she got 4 or 5 main shoots now, but growth is very slow, maybe a few inches all month, any recommendations?

Last pic, my pup.. hes 3 months old, Boston terrier, he is half bulldog and will only grow about 12-16 inches high. Cute little fucker.
