First hydroponic setup (1.2x1.2x2)

Looking to get into growing and I don't want to start with the soil and biobizz stuff, but rather get onto one of the cheaper DWC systems and once I have a couple years experience go fot an R - DWC, or trying some other fun things.

Would one of these 4 pot DWC systems be suitable in the following SCROG setup:

(video of model)

Only issues would be what do you do with the plants and the exposed roots on the lid when you want to take it off to clean the tank? Also do I need A B coco nutes for DWC or can I use Remo 3 part base nutrients?

You don't want coco nutes for dwc. Yeah, that would of been a poor choice for your plans.

Yeah I was considering doing the autopots thing, but seems no where near the payoff as hydro and more headaches with draining that WILMA thing.

Is there anything wrong with just using the base nutrients? seems like a lot to spend 300 on nutrients to grow cannabis, rather than just going out and buy some cannabis. Remo claims you don't need them on his site. Trying to keep this thing budget friendly.

I don't like autopots, have about 3x 4pot set ups in storage, I know some like them but compared to a proper hydro they are shit. Wilmas I do like. Flood and drain I love. DWC I have never tried. I stick to DTW coco mostly.

Base nutrients are fine. No need for fancy bollox, you will see more benefit feeding light and keeping healthy than taking 9 bottles into the grow room.

Get a bottle of calmag , some ph adjusters and some base nutes and your good. Not much difference between 1 brand and another.
Get an essentials ph pen, affordable but reliable and get an EC truncheon when you can afford to.

As far as draining a Wilma, just use the pump that comes with it and dry the remaining water up with a towel.
