Hey everybody first off let me say thanks for even taking a look! I have been reading/lurking around these forums for a while now and hadn't posted anything so I figured I'd start my first thread. Right now I'm currently on my 2nd indoor grow and things are going pretty good in my opinion. I have one indoor grow under my belt, a clone from a local dispensary in a pot that was way too small and random nutes lying around from the garden. It yielded about 1.5 oz of dry bud which I was happy with, I'm hoping for more this go around.
I'm about 2.5 weeks into flowering now and I have been writing a log of the grow so far however no pictures until now.
Information:
Light: 250 watt mh/hps ( Recently added 2 65 watt 2700K cfl's for an extra 8500 lumens or so)
Medium: Soil ( home made mix )
Nutes: Fox farm trio + solubles
Temp: Constant 80 F lights on, 68 F lights off.
Humidity: 35% lights on 60% or so lights of- Working on reducing the humidity now.
Strain: Animal Cookies & THC bomb
Tent: 36"Wx18"Dx60"H
Okay so lets get started:
I don't have much on the TB and my first AC plants, one of each germinated approx 9/25. They were stressed & stretched pretty hard so I germ'd a few more seeds and that's where I started keeping a log.
10/3: TB- 10 days old
AC1- 10 days old <-- All from seed
AC2- 3 days First fert: FF @ 1/4 strength
AC3- 3 days TB, AC2, and AC3 are on FF nutes, AC1, AC4, and AC5 are on X nutrients ( free sample )
AC4- 3 days
AC5- 3 days
10/8: Watered & fed again, @ 1/4 strength
10/12: Topped TB right above the 3rd node, watered the rest with 1/4 strength nutes again.
10/16: Plain tap water for all plants
10/22: Lots of new growth on all plants, fed again @ 1/2 strength
10/27: Transplanting from 1 gal- 3 gal pots with home made "flowering soil"
Home made soil mix: 2 parts compost (home made) Amendments: 1 cup of each, Alfalfa meal, Bat guano,
.5 parts EWC Greensand, Soft Rock Phosphate, and
1.5 parts peat moss Oyster shell.
1.5 parts perlite
.5 parts sand
The mix holds a little too much moisture, next time i think i will reduce the amount of peat moss and add more perlite.
I watered after the transplant w/o nutes, which seemed to be a mistake.
11/1: Watered and fed plants with almost full dosage fert as they looked a little down maybe the new soil wasn't as fertile.
Topped AC2 @ 4th node, and topped AC1 above the 6th node.
11/5: 6 days until flip, tested the soil this day with a new ph meter. The plants on FF were 6.3-6.5 ph, and the X nutes were around 7.0
Fed all 6 plants at pretty much full dose nutes.
11/8: 3 days until flip. Trimmed plants a bit to make the canopy an even 12". I watered all 6 plants with Vermi-T from the local hydro store at 5 tsp/gal
Flip to flower: TB & AC1 were 52 days from seed, rest were 42 days from seed ( 6 weeks )
11/13: Day 3 of flower, Tb showed pistils confirming female.
Fed @ full dosage for week 5 on both feeding schedules.
11/21: AC2 and AC4 showed male flowers so they were disposed of. Remaining plants were fed @ full strength fert.
11/24: Checked in on plants again, no water or fert necessary, AC1 which had showed female flowers is now showing male flowers as well, maybe she hermied due to the stress early on when she stretched a bunch. ( The animal cookies seeds came from a hermie plant so maybe they were more likely to hermie under stress? My TB seeds are from a reputable source, she had the same stress but didnt hermie. No light leaks either.)
11/25: Down to 3 plants, TB, AC3(FF nutes), and AC5 ( x nutrients ) all female, no hermies. The plants stretched a bunch during the flip, almost ran out of space in my tent. Watered with plain tap water & molasses. I also added 2 65 watt 2700K cfl's to the tent for more light and temps getting pretty low.
This is pretty much where we are at now. I will be feeding/watering tonight and I will take pictures then. I know this is a lot to read and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to.
I will be finishing this up with hopefully bi-weekly updates & pics assuming all goes well. Thanks for your time!
