First time grower 400 watt hps or 1000 watt

I am a first time grower and I am growing 4 plants under a 400 watt hps light bulb in a 6x8 shed, but I am thinking about putting it in a grow tent with a 1000 hps soon. Should I leave in the shed or switch?
