First timer needs help with choosing 2x2 tent and extractor fan.

Hello to everyone!

I have never smoked weed before and this will be my first time growing, I was wondering if someone out there could help me choose a 2x2 tent and extractor to buy. I live in Scandinavia so I can only buy from retailers that ship to Europe.

I*m planning to buy the Spider Farm SF 1000 LED to use with the 2x2 tent, unless there is a better option? I'd like to keep the electricity cost as low as possible though.

Some tents I have been considering are:

DARK ROOM 60X60X170CM R3.00 - Pretty good height on it + added misc stuff (60x60 net and cable clips). Although I have heard that the quality is a bit bad with light leaking maybe.
101 euro with shipping.

HomeLab/GrowLab60, 60x60x160cm - Seems pretty popular 8-10 years ago in this forum, no idea how their quality is compared to the other two now.
116 euro with shipping.

1680D Mars Hydro 70X70X160cm - It's made of more sturdier material it seems, a bit roomier than the other two (Both a plus and a minus since it takes a bit more space but might have enough room for maybe 2 small plants?). Got pretty good reviews in amazon.com.
Around 76 euro with shipping.

As for extractor fan I'm really unsure what to pick, where I live the summer is usually from 15-26 °C, with a couple days that go up to 30 °C.

Here are some I have considered:

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B078WV2BG2/ -100mm, 12V, 130 m3/h

https://www.helsinginpuutarhatarvike.fi/product/807/garden-highpro-inline-fan-100mm -100 mm, 15W, 2,500 r/min, 160 m3/h

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

If you are just blowing hot air out the top with no future plans for smell, then it works.
You need a different fan type to run a carbon filter if you have neighbors or room mates.
Bigger is better, and putting money into it is not cheap.
Cheap ones are filled with coal instead of charcoal, that's why they are cheap. Buy a good one.

These are basic radial blower and mixed mode fans.
More expensive EC motor drives are available that save on electricity, if you want to do this long term.

Oh so the GARDEN HIGHPRO INLINE FAN 100MM would not work with a carbon filter (I'm planning to buy the RHINO PRO 200M3 / 100MM)? I'm only worried about the smell clinging to my clothes and apartment. My neighbour already smoke weed so no problem there.

The STERR - Rohrventilator Kanalventilator seems to fit very well to my needs, only the price is a bit steep.

Do you have any suggestions for which brand of tent I should buy? Here are some I'm considering:

BudBox PRO Medium 75x75x200 SILVER

DARK ROOM 60X60X170CM R3.00

1680D Mars Hydro 70X70X160cm

HomeLab/GrowLab60, 60x60x160cm

I'm planning to use a Spider Farm SF 1000 LED as lightning.

The tents are up to you, mostly its just getting the size and vent holes where you need them.
It's probably the least technical part of the grow.
I prefer the tents with D door vs T door, just one less zipper to open or break. Also prefer larger duct opening, but on a small tent it doesn't matter unless you are going for quiet...larger ducts and fans running slow are silent without all the turbulence that smaller ducts produce.

Hello, welcome to the hobby. I am also new and only growing my second plant so I have limited experience but I will say what I can. I use this fan. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07FF99DP9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . My tent is a 2foot by 4 foot by 5 feet high, it's a bit short but is working for now. The fan and filter have a speed control and starts sucking in the tent walls at about 20%. I got my last plant all the way through and the only smell noticed was when tent opened. I use a Vivosun tent which seems to work well and has metal poles instead of plastic for added structural support. I put 2 what they call 1200 Watt LED lights into the tent and both plants seemed to like it. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07Y4XQ9RZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . I am sure there are better lights out there but these did do the job. I ended up with 3.5 oz from my first plant which I felt was ok for the fist plant I ever grew. I added a couple pics of my first plant, not the prettiest girl at the ball but she will still turn a head or two. Do your research and watch for advice from some experienced growers here. I am sure there will be lots of great growers willing to give you some guidence. Good luck and happy growing.

Is the 2,4x2,4 tent a bit too big for the SF 1000 light or would it suit just fine? I tried to find a tent that is 2x2x6 or higher but no luck here in Europe. Closest is the Secret Jardin Dark Room 60 R3.0 that is 5,6 feet tall but I have heard their quality is bad.

Is it hard to work around with a 5 foot tall tent? I'm a bit undecided if I should buy one that is taller since I have heard so many people saying it's a bit hard to work with.

Opulent makes a nice tent with the right features at a nice price.

Ac infinity for extractor....any applicable charcoal filter, i like the can-lite line which is bigger than the acs filter.

Yes it is a bit short, I have a 4X4X6 foot I just have not made the space to set up. I would defiantly try to find something taller. I can say that with a 2X4 footprint I can only get 2 plants into it in 5 gallon fabric pots. Good luck, I hope you find something that suits your purpose.

If the light fits into the tent its ok to use. Bigger tent is better for a grower. A 2x2 is one nice size plant or up to 4 v small ones. 2x4 is 2x that. Height is a v good thing.
