Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster; the info on this site and others have turned me into something of an expert on lights and setup and whatnot. I just had a few questions for anyone with a 150 watt HPS FLORALUX MINI. First, let me give you a little info on my prospective setup.
It's a wooden trunk, thin sheet of metal covering it. Measures 18x15x33 inches tall (yeah this is gonna be a mini scrog hopefully). Space is an issue and I don't have the time or resources to build my own carbon scrubber--though I guess I might be persuaded. So I might buy the carbon scrubber on ebay for like 50 bucks or something like that. The floralux is about 5" tall so i want it as high up as possible. Thing is the air cooling flange is on top and will eat up my vertical space and the precious grow space of my future plants. QUESTION:
How hot does the floralux get? Particularly from similar grow cabbers who use it. Temps? Do you air cool it or not?
I will probably have the carbon scrubber inside the cab on top next to the light sucking air out to a hole on top. The scrubber on ebay says 60 TRUE CFM--will this be enough to keep the tips of my plant from burning if they have about 1ft of space between them and the light's tempered glass bottom?
