fluffy buds help!!!!

Okay here's so the first pictures are from my first harvest. They are not dense at all there really fluffy the second picture are my next plant this will be ready in a couple weeks and they seem like they're going to have the same problem. what am i doing wrong im using a 400w hps and its a sour diesil blend.

They dont look too awful bad from here man. I've seen much more "airy" buds than that. Could very well be the strain. I use 400's and I've been experimenting with all kinds of strains and for sure they're all different in that regard.

what's your ventilation like? are you getting fresh air in there? is it blowing around?

what are you temps? humidity?

Yeah what does cause fluffy buds and what do you do different to get them a little more dense and compact

They look ok to me, every strain is a bit different and then there are phenos in each strain.

Have vented closet doors the size is about 7 foot tall 7 foot wide 3 feet deep. Temps stay around 80 have no idea on the hum it that's my next investment I'm thinking it's going to be really good smoke just want dense buds I use tiger bloom should I try diff fert

How long did they flower? The first and last pic looks good but not done yet. The two middle pics look like they needed a lot more time.

Edit: what lights are you using?

also might be the lighting but one of the stems in that picture look like bud rot or mold (2 pic bottom of stem)

on a side note the last picture makes it seem like they werent even done did you harvest early? seems like they were on their last 2-3 week fluff up

I say early harvest is the culprit here, and I question the Sour Diesel only because those look sativa dominant to me. I think a few more weeks would have improved your yield considerably.

Temps are the main culprit of fluffy buds. 80 is a tad high and if your humidity is pretty high as well WITHOUT a fan on them to circulate air around, that could be adding to your problem. I have encountered this problem a few times with my outdoor grows.

Early harvest is also a major factor. That first picture is in no way ready for harvest by at least 2, possible 3 weeks.

From everything that I've seen, genectics is the one most important factor. Of course low light and early harvesting will effect the outcome also.

Thanks guys I will blaming it on early harvest it was outside and we r in the 20s now I had to she was too tall to be inside. The other plant is really densing up now so I just screwed up on the first. I'm sure it will still get me high. As far as the strain I'm just going on someone's word

I'm not sure never seen rott are u just seeing the purple from being in the cold???
