Did i not mention it was brand new, used only once, in my imagination?

let me check those transformers out, i know i could use it with a diy breaker box and special wires and shit, i just dont want to caugh up an extra arm and a leg to make it work when i could sell it and buy the 120v for nothing.

I am not sure if they are nation wide, but check harbor freight if they have them around you. I bet you can get something like that cheap.

Just a thought, why not talk to the place you bought it from and explain it's the wrong voltage ? I'm sure they would work out something to get you what you need.

yeah it would probably cost about 8 bucks just to ship this bich, so idk. then theyll probably want a little to ship it back to me so maby the transformer is the way to go. Will this compromise lamp life or could it have any affect on lumens?

No,they will not shorten lamp life or compromise the safe operation of the ballast or shorten its lifespan,Radio Shack used to carry step down & step up xformers, checkk with them to see if they still carry these.

I use a pair of step down transformers in my bedroom home theater system with a very expensive pair of european amplifiers for several years now with excellent results.

Dig this, now that you know about this device the world is your oyster on ebay, people in the US have no use for anything other than standard US voltage & generally sell for far less with no reserve.

Oh,make sure you get a Step up Transformer & not the other way around.

Nice! just what i wanted to hear. Yeah i just wanted to make sure there wasnt any catches, cause usually there is a peice of shit catch, like ik this thing can burn MH bulbs but i also read it shortens lamp life, so shit i dont think ill be popping any mh bulbs in it.

And yeah im digging it already. I say some go for over one hundred dollars, i was like yeah, suck my nuts. Then i found one for 25, im in business. Thanks much man, and everyone. This is great news. Cheers
