Being my first grow ever, I am growing some Gorilla Glue Auto, I am confused over this feeding schedule now that I am into flower (I am growing outdoors in soil):

Why do they continue to recommend using Grow Big?

The flowering portion of the chart is a very basic 8-week phase. My advice as it applies to autos; week 1 flower (5 on this chart) starts as soon as you see "budlets" just starting to form on the tops of the plant(s).

Thanks. That is basically how I have been doing it. I still don't understand why they want you to continue using "Grow Big" during flowering?

Because nitrogen is still needed throughout the stretch phase and typically gets tapered off or way down throughout flower. And Grow Big has fairly low NPK numbers as a whole.
