I would like to hear from people who are growing with the single plant waterfarm & how it performs I'm wanting to try one for my next grow will be using a 250-400w. Switchable hps ballast pics would be cool as well currently doing e&f coco
 
Thanks anon Emaus I'll check it out I've got a chance to pick up a brand new waterfarm in the box for next to nothing from a friend who never tried it out
 
5 gal ?

I`m thinking of using a 70L to 110L black waste bin with a 30 to 60 lpm air pump say 4 to 6 stones

trying to get close to 100L without it being too tall is tricky, over 50cm and your using up bud space but if the res is not deep then it warms up fast

Other wise the "home box system 5" would be great as it stores 200L of water in a 1m x 1m x 20cm high area

I just think the water will rot fast in the summer and cleaning it will be a bitch, so even if its only £50 would rather spend £20 on 2 x 90L black bins with locking lids, airpumps and such I already have

The problem with the waterfarm, is


1 that clear pipe to let you see the water level causes issues

2. it`s small you can veg or do some small plant in there maybe even 100g but a big plant will just rot and drink it all too fast, maybe you could use it for veg under a 250 to 400w hydro you`d want 2 to 4 of them, so better off going with a bin if you have the space

Not true at all, I average a pound per harvest with my water farm. Grows HUGE plants. I added an airstone to my res. You can connect systems together or connect them to a control unit if you need more water.

just can`t see under 60L being able to go more than a few days without topping up if you have a 200g+ plant in there but what ever works for you dude, cool that you can connect them

I top my water farm off every day, so yeah it drinks a lot but I don't have them connected or connected to the controller unit. Plant yields 500 grams+. the bottom holds 2.25 gallons of water. (its like 10L) the top holds 2.25 gallons of grow stones. The smallest plant I grew in this yielded 10+ ounces.

cool, I can`t get to my plants everyday anymore and the guy that can is a lazy fucker

Sometimes I go there and their really dry and I find out he`s not even looked at them since I was last there, straight up had to go from 10 to 20L coco sacks up to 50 to 60L just to make up for how fucking lazy he is !

Yet he wants a fat harvest at the end when he`s after his half

unfair as fuck all the work I`ve do to the place, just want my place with my plants then I`d be done being anyones bitch.


Ah I like my hydro`s a bit more stable really like to top them up every 3 days and never more than 30% of the total volume of the system

but I`ve used 1L coco pots in flood and drain and got 60 to 100g per plant so I`m sure that a water farm can make a 500g+ plant, just topping it up everyday sounds like too much work but I know I could do it so others must be able to yield big, would be nice to not be the best yielding most experienced person involved in a grow every dam time

its nice speaking to you peeps on here would be even nicer to work some land with a few of you, way better than the learn nothing expect to earn big people that I normally end up working with, zero passion, it`s even worse when you get one that don`t even 420

Sounds like you need a new partner. I'd like to have the control unit but I don't have it right now , I really want it tho and it would make changing the nutes like a 1-2 week thing, apparently I could hook all my units to it and it would be really good. Yeah the big yields suck for the trimming, I get this one huge plant in the water farm and grow the rest organic for the flavor and easiest to trim(smaller nugs and less). The water farm makes huge plants I don't think I could fit 2 in a 4x4 it would just be too much I just grow 1 of them in a 4x4 and it fills the whole space. The buds get so big and heavy they fall over sometimes against the walls.

I get that even growing in coco you know buds too fat for the arms to hold up

well if the thrips don`t manage to get to it.. lol

I`ve got a new fix for that problem

Scrog net was option 1

but option 2 I think is better

Start veg with cool blue leds or cfl or mh

but then veg with hps for 2 to 6 weeks or red led

the extra red band in veg makes the plants branches grow a lot fatter so you get this shrub with really thick branches that can hold up way bigger buds

I find huge lollipop plants are the easiest to trim up

but normally end up fimming and topping them a few times if I get lucky with the triacontanol early then we get nice busy plants, and if I have space and time to hit them with it later, well you normally get a ton of extra late white hair, if you get really lucky it covers up a lot of the sweet leaf and makes for less trimming

Well anyone from the UK that`s not lazy feel free to hit me up about doing a grow together, lol, hell fuck it, canada, usa, australia and most of europe I`d be open to an invite to go flower some bitches and see how we get on working together. lol

Yeah I used a scrog net last grow and lollipopped but I feel like I lost a lot of my weight, I use all the trash stuff to make bubble hash with.

I started this one with HPS , should have went with the LEDs for sure.

I`d move to Colorado if I had somewhere to stay lol

I mean I`ve ran over 100 plants before just looking for a rare phenome, here there`s no talking past that, forget that none of them had over 10g on them and I did not even find one I wanted to breed, get caught doing that here and it`s jail, under 10 and you`d be ok even if you had 9 1kg+ monsters but go over 10 and there`s no talking your way into a fine, they`ll fuck you, really I`m mostly stuck here due to money, kinda sad cos I can easily grow myself out of the debt, just been so much hassle since I lost my own garden

If my job and business was not in the city I could just move somewhere a lot cheaper with more space and make a lot of money, but because I set up the other garden and set up a workshop, I can`t afford to move and cover my bills till I get a crop in

If I`m still fucked the same way in a few years I`ll take another loan and set up my own place in the countryside, just feels like doing it with someone that`s got some passion would be way more fun then doing it alone

So you legal there or just semi legit ?

I'm actually currently doing the same thing he did, flora nova bloom all the way through. Everything has gone great, you can check out my grow in my sig, started with a 250w, moving to a 600w next week.
 
Man this thread is moving right along I've given thought to the small reservoir capacity of the waterfarm & the fact that I'm retired plays into it I've nothing but time to tend to it when I worked all the time e&f worked out now I want just a small efficient grow utilizing things at hand I REALLY THANK EVERYONE FOR YOUR INPUT I'm thinking I'll get the waterfarm & as I grow along I'll get the hang of it

It looks like you've got it dialed in I'm quite envious going led right now is a daydream but the waterfarm part is soon gonna be reality as my current grow finishes up(about the end of April) I've got a seed of th- seeds mk- ultra X bubblegum soaking for the waterfarm
 
The waterfarm deal has materialized its here & ive got a th seeds mk- ultra X bubblegum seed popped for its first grow really thankful for everyone's input stuff like this is why I enjoy Riu so much
 
Off to a good start this little bucket kinda fascinates me looking forward to new technique first run is gonna be box stock but rest assured there will be mods in the futureimage.jpeg as well as a second waterfarm
