ya, i know lettuce is good. but im sure someone out there has tried something like this. or even using the dried fan leaves as a spice of some sort? or buds, but ppl would rather smoke those. you know just sprinkly some on top of your pizza, mix it in with some bruscetta. the possibilites are endless :) lol. maybe someone should try and experiment and let us know how it tastes! i dont have a grow goign so i cant :( God bless everyone:peace:

Haha. Excellent idea! I keep leaves, mainly for the look. But now, i have a new topping for pizza! I'm sure it would give a little buz.

I had some stuff i forgot about drying a carboard box. Some scraggy bush. I used it as a spice on some steak done on the bbq. Was great. Not sure how high i got off of it but the taste was nice.

Heell yeah, sometimes i just eat the leaves as they are, and so does my cat. LOvely minty flavour. The leaves are also good nutritionaly, they contain many amino acids and unsaturated fats, as well as vitaimins and minerals. The seeds are the best for nutri value though.

AWSOME! no kidding, thats some good info thanks titania. when i start my grow im going to have to try some kind of salad or something. maybe i can make them like i make spinach- just sautee them with butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, s+p, and some yummy fetta cheese to top them off with. lol i would probally look like spinach too. i wonder what my family would think/say if i made that for dinner one night, haha. they should sell pot leafs for salads or w/e in the grocery store if they are good for you, and im sure ppl would find good ways to cook it too. man o man, im just thinking how beautiful that would be lol. use a couple small fan leafs for garnishes! lol

Thanks!, you've wetted my appetite for cooking with cannabis:hump:, my imagination is running wild with all the things I could do. Some of the dishes you mentioned are making me drule, garlic, feta cheese and spinach yum yum! Take note cannabis leaves are quite tuff and bitter, especialy the older ones. You may want to cook them for a bit (gently). Personaly I steam them, put some extra virgin olive oil on them with finely chopped garlic, add that to a saucpan of pasta with sliced up chicken, ummmmmmmm DAMN!:blsmoke::mrgreen: (Remember to remove stalks).:peace:

LOL no it's stupid. Sorry but that is so, so stupid. I'm not gonna do my whole speech again, so here's the basics: sharp shit, indigestion, low high, fuckin dumb.
Now, if you were to cook the THC into your olive oil and use that as dressing, that would be another matter entirely.

ok then maybe i wont try it. lol whats sharp about it? probably another dumb question but i never tried it myself. it was just a notion because i was reading someones thread about a ScOG and the guy said he threw away about 5 pounds of leaf. so i was wondering if it was palatable. it was just a dumb thought and i dont want to get sick or anything myself, thats why i asked suck a stupid question. thanks for the reply and saving me from having indigestion problems! God bless everyone!:peace:

LOL! No, not a stupid question. The parts that cut you are microscopic, and the cutting then causes indigestion. However, putting it in the oven for half an hour at 200º or an hour at 150º will burn most of the microscopic cut-you hairs off. Still, I recommend cooking it into a fatty substance. Much more palatable. If you want weed salad, cook it into olive oil or another fatty dressing of your liking, then use that. You CAN get high off eating dry weed unfortunately. It just needs to be 100% decarbed, and you need to use a fair amount.

thank you for the kind reply Mr.gamberro. :mrgreen:ya the whole uncooked leaf doesnt really appeal to me much anyways. but using it in a stirfry or some thing where its cooked seems like there might be some potential. actually i do know what the micro cut hairs you are talking about because i saw a really close up pic of a ganja leaf. you also said "you CAN get high off eating.... unfortunately", why is that unfortunately? ..... yep yep... God bless everyone!:peace:

I do a mean Thai chicken stir-fry involving a peanut butter sauce. Soon, I'm going to a cooking party, and I'm going to make some special peanut butter sauce :D
This is theoretical, but yes, if you were to cook it in a stir-fry, it might work. On the other hand, it might also burn, since stir-fries are generally very high in temperature. If you try this, let me know how it goes!
It's unfortunate that you can still get high off them because it just encourages people to do it despite that it's very unhealthy for you. Like my dad, who eats all my goddamn weed.
A quick mention, uncooked weed also contains high levels of THCA, or THC acid, which are carcinogenic (cancer-promoting) and just generally unhealthy.

swear to god when I was 16 I had this Idea when I was stoned. I imagined it with the leaves instead of lettuce, some buds instead of crutons, pour some italian dressing, then sprincle some keif on it, then, as the final touch, add a shit-load of bacon-bits on top. the real ones and the fake ones, they're both good. I would have killed to eat that when I thought of it
