This arrived in the post today. Thanks @GeekBeast

First impressions...
Well packaged
Great hanging equipment
Nice spectrum controls... blue and red both look good
Nice and bright but not as bright as my hlgs will go. (I always dim them anyway)
Frame rattles a little but the boards look quality.
My biggest negative is that the power lead is WAY too short. Think it's 1 meter. Given that this light will be about 2 meters high... and power sockets are outside the tent at floor level this doesn't make sense. I will probably have to extent this.

In terms of the rest of my kit... the drivers are outside the tent... @GeekBeast it possible to dismount the driver and have it outside the tent?

Overall amazing and will face off against my hlg triples for the real review!

Thanks for your suggestion, we will update some details.
The size of MonsterBoard Pro240W is 89x18.6x7.3cm. If I remember correctly, it should be bigger than HLGs. We tried to make it bigger, so that more light will reach the edge. You can see that the density of the lamp beads on the edge of the lamp will be higher. The reason for this is to make the light reach each tent more evenly.there will be less hot spots in the middle.
With the same power, if the size of the lamp is smaller and the lamp beads are more concentrated, it will look brighter. We have tested the same 600W quantum board and LED BAR lamps. At first sight, it must be that the quantum board is brighter.

@GeekBeast Detachable drivers are a big selling point for me and others. Being able to keep the drivers outside of the tent is a big plus when trying to control heat inside a grow tent or smaller grow space without air conditioning. Just a thought for future designs. Overall I have to say the light looks very nice and I am looking forward to @oill grow with this light.

@perramas,
Yes, considering the heat dissipation problem, it is indeed a very good suggestion if the drive can be placed outside the tent。The reason why we fixed the driver to the aluminum profile is because there are too many functions, which leads us to have a lot of connecting lines. If the driver can be taken out, then a large number of connecting lines for realizing functions will be very messy.
We have three versions of 240W, 480W, and 720W. The connection lines between them are actually more complicated. Of course, what we present to users is a very concise product.
In fact, our original intention in developing MONSTERBOARD PRO is not to realize this function. We want to achieve modular installation. For this reason, we have made many solutions. With 240W as the standard unit, you can always connect 10 sets, or connect 20 sets. , As long as your energy can be supplied. Unfortunately we failed,
We are really a very innovative company of Chinese plant lights. We are currently developing two products, which will be available soon. This is an unprecedented concept and I believe it will bring disruptive things to our growers.

Sounds amazing! I totally get why you wouldn't put the driver off the board now... makes sense! The longer power cord would be the best alternative.

So when things get to it I will be comparing results between these 2 lights....

Hlg slate triple with 3x qb288s. This light has 864 diodes. The whole unit is run of a 2100ma driver that is dimmed by about 20%. Cost of the light must have been about 300. Wattage from what i remember is about 80 to 90 watts a board (so about 270w)

Vs

Geeklight 2400 running 512 white leds (plus the blue red and uv additional lights. Price would be about 130... so less than half the price. Wattage is 240 at full power.

So... its NOT a fair test. The gb is cheaper... enough that I could buy 2 of them for the same money. If the geekbeast can come close to the qb quality of product it is a REAL winner.

The plants...
Unfortunately I don't have any cuts to do a fair comparison. I am doing a pheno hunt and have a load of seeds on the go... thseeds underdawg, French macaroon, stracciatella. Again its not a fair test as there will be differing phenos....

Each light will have w plants under it. Currently try planning to pot up into final pots this week and run for another 2 weeks of veg.

This should be fun.

BTW,
If you want to use HLG to achieve red and blue, then you have to buy two sets of HLG R series and B series.
The realization of such a multi-function is indeed a complicated matter, and you can also achieve 480W, 720W through a simple connection line.
Behind this simple function is a lot of work.

Things are looking good here. Had some signs of mild deficiency as I switched nutrient lines and getting used to them. Also potted up to larger pots.

Starting to get cooler here too so needed to ramp uk the heating action using my day and night heater controllers and extraction control to get things just right. Cruising at 26c right now.

Generally these seeds seem like slowish veg. All from th seeds. French macaroon, stracciatella and underdawg. This run is basically a pheno hunt for something killer.

I'm running coco and using veg+bloom. (Actuqlly just finishing off my last tank of atami bcuzz. I'm hoping the switch to v+b and shine works out. Should be interesting at least.
