Germination help please!

I recently put about 15 seeds i got from a friend in a damp paper towel and put it in a jar with a little bit of water in it and put it in my nightstand....

its been 4 days and they still havent cracked or anything... i see no roots... not from one seed... what am i doing wrong????

help please.. need suggestions

Might be too cold. Try putting them on the refridgerator.

its probably bagseed and if the weed was dirt it could take up to a wk.

If the seeds are white, they probably wont germinate. Dark brown seeds are fully matured.

Their drowned or duff seeds.use the paper towel method and you cant go wrong with proper seeds.they should germinate in 4 days max.

My first lot (bagseed from 4 years ago) didn't germinate at all in 2 weeks - then the 2nd lot (bought a couple days before germination) were VERY eager with the paper towel and split the casing in 2-3 days with inch-long roots!

What I did - wet towel/seeds/wet towel in a sandwich bag sealed in the airing cupboard...no probs! Could be you just got duff seeds.

I reckon you should keep them till you get to a week then if nothing sprouts drain them off, let them dry for a few days then try my method...if that doesn't work for a week then chuck 'em coz they're duff
