Going to Amsterdam?

Is it worth saving up for a ticket to amsterdam? how much do i need for a trip from usa to amsterdam? any info would be great.thank you

You can go pretty cheap, but now isnt the time for the trip economy wise. If your just going for pot and not the coffeeshop atmosphere I would suggest oakland, san diego, or somewhere in the caribean like st. vincent and the grendines or jamacia. Pot is (so I am told) way cheaper and as good.

Sorry by cheap your talking 450 one way ticket to dam and about 5 euro a day food, 15 euro a day acomodation (sleeping outside is money in the summer) weekends staying places costs more.

And weed is like 10 euro a gram but this was a year ago

weed in the dam is around 2.5 g for about 15 euro, but the stonger the weed then the more the cost goes up. We go about 4 times a year, as we live in Liverpool u.k and only takes 40 mins to get there on the plane.

Of course it's worth it, it's a very nice place to visit. Not many places where you can smoke some of the finest herbs on earth, then stroll into the Van Gough Museum, or just enjoy the scenic canals and such. You could also blaze up, then take a canal boat ride with wine and cheese and such.

Plus, the Red Light Zone is always an interesting place to visit.

You just need to decide how you want to be accomodated, there are plenty of Hostels to 4 star hotels right in or just off Dam Sqr. When I go, I usually stay at the 4 star Swissôtel right smack dab in the Sqr, but prices have been going up, my first trip there I got a really nice suite for about a $100(us dollars) a night, now the same room is $395.13

But there's plenty of lower cost alternatives that are almost as nice that won't break your bank. Hostels if your on a tight budget.

I'll give you one tip, bring a sealed packaged bottle of Visene or Clear eyes, my last trip there I forgot to bring this, and it took me a 1/2 day to find this in any store off Dam Sqr. Every store I went to, only had eye freshener, which is basically saline water and nothing to remove the redness.

It was like a nightmare getting this, and I had some really red eyes.

I just actually booked a trip to amsterdam for 2008 cannabis cup wit judge passes. I got a package deal for 1750. Includes round trip tickets there n back, round trip train tickets to hotel n back to airport, includes hotel for the 8 days i'm there, includes judge passes to the cannabis cup wit afew other perks. Only shit i have to pay for now when i go is any extra weed/hash I want to smoke and food n shit i want to buy ha!!

I may go as well, probably will just buy the Pass and spend three or four days there, then home.

...at the very least, you'll probably get to meet Cheech and Chong when they get inducted into the Counterculture Hall of Fame during this years Cannibus Cup.

5euro a day ????i dont no what ur eating,im always over an its 50euro 4 2 eating out an even buying food ur not gona last on dat,all the cafes at singel river are the best[amsterdam coffeeshop directory.com] or hill street blues .....dont pay hookers more than 50 quid an watch ur shit in there.

ha yea, we were unlucky. but shit happens mate and we will be back ! come on you red men.
Anyway ,,, we always stay at the delta hotel , only 2 min walk from central station and right in the middle of everything. stay away from the grass hopper, its shite .

hope use go tru anyways easier 4 us den..ha ha,had money on d pool an all ..bastard .
