gph, bubble buckets and totes

just as the title says how many gallons per hour of air per bucket or tote?

I read an article that says a 600 gallon per hour pump can do 12 to 16 buckets, it definitely doesn't seem right.

I'm getting ready to run 24 buckets and 6-8 totes, I only have 2000 gph of air..?

Will I be OK?

I run 9lpm per 5gal bucket (90lpm pump to 10 buckets), which equates to 142gph per bucket. It works well, nice and bubbly but not insane spilling everywhere.

I'm sure your airstones make a difference too. I use the EcoPlus brand medium cylinder stones, get them for $3/each in bulk on eBay.

yeah I googled it and there was another post on here about it in it stated that you can do 12 to 16 with a 600 which is what 40-50 gallons per hour, and this was what a hydroponic store advised, hard to believe. I've used a 600 in a 30 gallon tote before, it was like a Jacuzzi though lol...

I guess I'm asking with optimal, not vital for by experience, so if anybody can just post your stats and I'll take the average and run with it
