Hi everyone on this great site! ok after last nights stupidity in smashing all 4 of my brand new bulbs, i have been and bought some more and made sure the lamp holder was securly fixed into position before inseting the bulbs. The lamp holder i made has 4 sockets to fit 4 of the bulbs pictured, 18 watt equivelent to 100 watts x 4 so does that mean theres 400 watts? ive got it about 1 inch away from the top of the plant is that ok? also ive got the osilating fan on the lowest setting and as far away as possible but it does seem to be blowing it strongly is this ok? Also the timer i bought is a 7 day timer and i can only get it to do 17 hours on 7 hours off and on is this a problem at all, any advice is greatly apreciated
Many thanks
Baz

cfl's are safe an inch away from the plant , once the plant is a foot or so high you might want to put those 4 how you have em and add another 2 to the sides to sustain the plant while you get a hundred bucks for a small hps that you won't regret buying ( flowering with cfls isn't impossible , but it's alot easier with hps/other lighting systems ( no i don't mean you LED ) and you'll have a WAY happier plant and better harvest in terms of yield and quality from switching cfl's are convenient for sprout- about or to mid veg

Thanks for help, its not far of a foot at moment so i want to rig 2 more of these bulbs either side of the plant, and invest in a hps light for the flowering stage yep, well thats the next thing on my list then once its starts to smell its time to fit the extractor fan and ducting.
Thanks alot for the info
