growing different strains in same grow room

I just ordered 3 seeds of northern light auto flower and with that purchase I got a strawberry blue female seed and 2 Hawaiian skunk haze seeds. When I get these can I start them all at same time in same grow room 6Lx4Hx2w.

I am growing Autos in the same tent now with regular seeds but I am doing a breeding project and not as concerned with yield. The Autos will be fine under 12/12 they will just yield less. You could flower under 13/11 if you want the autos to do a little better but the regular seeds will take a bit longer to finish. I did 13/11 for a couple weeks then recently switched to 12/12.

You can do it. I like to do it for the sake of variety but you have to keep in mind a few obstacles that may arise. Different strains are very liable to act differently at different times. The biggest problem I've had is that even in the same environment they tend to grow at different rates and that can be tough trying to give them all equal light. Also you'll find that they feed differently. Some may be thirsty often while others may drink very little.
It can be done but it takes attention to each of them as the individuals they are.

I've got 2 strains under the same scrog, and to compound the problem, one strain was planted 10 days before the other! Maybe the screen has helped in that the canopy is kept uniform? Either way, it's working, so it's doable. Like cobnobuler says, treat each as an individual grow as much as possible

Yep you sure can, the autos yield will be diminished though because you really want to have 18 hours of light minimum all the way up to the day of harvest for them while you need to switch to 12/12 for the regular strains to begin flowering

Autos should get 20/4 lights for their entire growing life. Mine usually take 10 weeks from the time the seedling first goes into dirt. Non-autos need 20/4 to veg so you can keep them together that long. After that you need 12/12 lights to flower the non-autos. Autos will finish at 12/12 but will be slower and smaller. If you only have one light you can leave them all together at 20/4 until the uto is done. Means the others will be huge due to so much veg time. BigSteve.

When the two strains realize they are different it is likely they will grow teeth and try to eat each other. You'd better keep a bat close to your grow area in case the victor tries to munch on you next.
