growing short not tall help

hey i was wondering if there was a way to grow my plants as short as possible but have them growing outwards, or sideways of some kind. i havea 21inch plant and that is just too big i wanted to lower it and spread the growth out the sides instead of up any help?

Keep the light as close as possible to the plant for veg. CFL's are excellent for this purpose. I have an extremely bushy grow going on atm. I am still in veg and have done it all by CFL. I was able to keep so many lights so close to the plant that they really had no need to grow tall and so far have not.

yeah thats what i was thinkin, i have the long tube plant lights and some plant lights for the sides that are a tad warmer...hope it works out well thank you guys/gals

u can bend the plant little by little approxamatly 6 in. a day by tying it down and the plants nodes will bend the plant according to the stress
