growing with coir peat bricks

I've got a couple bricks of compressed coir peat and it says on the back to mix with 50% soil, or a 25 litre bag of potting mix as a soil improver does this mean I can't use it to plant in? And , could I add 50% perlite and thoroughly wash the peat to get rid of salts and nutrients from it so I can start my seedlings in it?

My mix is mainly coco coir, peat, yucca, EWC, and perlite. Dunno what you'd need soil.

No mention of nutrients in it ill try a ppm test on it to see, and if I'm using tap water with 120ppm will I need calmag along with my general hydroponics flora trio?

Any idea where to find a good feeding regime for peat??
