I'm not new to growing but have never grown any seeded buds, I seeded these on purpose to get a hybred cross of my own. This is the first time i seeded any plants and was just wondering if i need to do anything different. I usually cut my plants and hang dry them in my dry-box untill ready for curing, do i do the seeded buds the same way?

bump- I also really need to understand this process as well. Do seeds need to be dried and stored for a certain period until they will be able to germinate? Do we wait until they fall out of the pods or dry and pluck from pods? My head is spinning.

when you find the forum you want to start a thread in look in the top left corner and it will say "new thread" click and start a new thread. A seeded plant i dry and cure the same way. I usually pull a few seeds out to make sure they are ripe before chopping the plant to dry

just pollenate your plant wait till it's matured harvest it dry it pick all the seeds out and BAM you have seed put them in a cleened out snuff can or jar or something sealed air tight and youmight read you can freeze them DON'T freeze your seeds i did and they all were duds just dry'em put em in a air tight something and you can keep them till next season thats all i do and i have about 2 out of 50 seeds that won't germinate so don't worry hope you like the advise

be careful when curing seeded buds. they contain more moisture than non-seeded buds and can mold easily. i ruined a harvest of bubba kush this way. after hanging, i put them in jars and opened em up for 15 minutes, 3x a day. they all molded. i've never had problems curing before or since. it was my first seeded weed. i had a lot of beans too. as far as when they're viable, when the weed is cured, so is the seed. i would never store beans in a fridge/freezer either. too much temperature variance.

exactly it messes'em up big time if ya freez'em or put'em in the fridge i just hang my stuff up like usual let it dry then get the seeds out

I bred a LR2 Male with 1 LR2 female and 1 female of unknown dwarf mix. The thing that is not that great is I was breeding F1's with each other and have no way to backcross since I am out of my original seeds. I am hoping for a good amount of seeds out of this set and will experiment with this new mix for as long as the seeds last and then change my direction eventually. The reason I am excited about these girls is that they both (and the father as well) showed sex at 18 days or less from germination. They are fast flowering strong little bastards with thick node rings and beautiful flowers, will have a smoke report at the end of the month but I am hoping for the best. Wish me luck and here is the link to my infrequently updated journal.

Thanks for the advise but 1 more Q. Do you have to let them sit for a while or can i get em started indoors immediately after drying?
